The project’s flat terrain and extensive wetland areas present unique challenges in stormwater and sewage drainage as well as road profile design.

Flat Terrain Drainage
The natural flatness of the terrain makes it difficult to implement a gravity-fed drainage system for stormwater and sewage.

A significant portion of the project area consists of wetlands and weak soil. These natural features need to be preserved and protected, posing considerable challenges in designing road profiles and layouts.

Stormwater Drainage Solution
The Approach: We propose a road cross-section design with ditches on both sides to collect rainwater, supplemented by culverts to channel water to natural discharge points. This reduces embankment height over pipes compared to a traditional gravity-fed drainage system, ensuring effective water management while preserving the flat terrain.

접근 방식: For the sanitary sewer system, we will employ a pressurized pump station system. This system will push water from within the project to the existing sanitary sewer drainage system, overcoming the limitations posed by the flat terrain and ensuring efficient wastewater management.

Wetland Impact Mitigation
The Approach: To protect the wetlands, retaining walls will be avoided. Instead, lots will be graded with a front-to-back slope, aligning with the natural rear elevation. This design preserves natural drainage by directing stormwater accordingly. Road profiles will be determined based on the slopes and elevation differences in the cross-sections.
